COLUMBUS, OHIO-After winning the smallbore discipline on Saturday at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championship in Ohio State the Nanooks followed that up by winning air rifle on Sunday which resulted in the Nanooks winning the first ever Patriot Rifle Conference Championship on Sunday.
They shot a 4702 total score-matching a program record. UAF shot 2363 in air and 2339 in smallbore.
Ryan Anderson led the way with a match best 596 in air. He also won the silver in the individual final to add to his PRC smallbore gold.
Tim Sherry shot a 591 for a match best fourth. Sherry would get silver in the individual final.
Air Force finished 2nd followed by TCU and host Ohio State. Meredith Carpentier of Air Force won the air rifle title.
After a bye UAF will host Texas-El Paso and Nevada for a NCAA qualifier on Feb. 22.
