Alaska rifle team ranked no.2 in the country

FAIRBANKS-After winning the first ever Patriot Rifle Conference championship over the weekend the Alaska Nanooks moved up from no.3 to no.2 in the nation.

In this week's Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association poll UAF is second in the country thanks to their 4702 score at Ohio State. That score not only tied their program record but that score boosted their three score average at three different venues over Kentucky.

West Virginia is still no.1 and Kentucky is now third.

The Alaska rifle team will be back in the range on Feb, 22-23 hosting no. 17 Nevada and no. 20 UTEP in the NCAA Qualifier.
