Turning 50 doesn't necessarily mean everything comes to an end as far as learning new subjects is concerned. The Osher (oh-shur) Lifelong Learning Institute or Olli(ah-lee) is a program of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Olli is an opportunity for local community members to enroll in over 80 various programs and lessons taught by local artists and professionals.
Olli is located in the University Park building on University Avenue and tomorrow will have their "Ice Cream Social" from one to three pm for the public to learn more about the service.Program Director Sarah Garland says there are an ample amount of programs available.""I think we have 11 different topic areas ranging from art and exercise, healthy living, science, literature, language philosophy, social studies, history.
That's just a smattering of them."
