More charges filed today in Fairbanks Superior Court for the father –son duo linked to the fatal shooting of two Alaska State Troopers.
20–year–old Nathanial "Sach" Kangas, the man accused of killing the two Troopers was charged additionally with 3 counts of tampering with physical evidence.
The elder, Arvin Kangas was charged with additional counts of tampering with physical evidence as well, bringing the total charges against him to 8 felonies.
Both men pleaded not guilty to the additional indictments.
Neither has been officially appointed representation in their cases; their lawyers have cited lack of discovery from the state.
A public defender from Kenai will now be handling the case however; a representation hearing is scheduled for May 27th.
