Additional Charges Added in Elder Rape Case

 

A LOCAL GRAND JURY HAS ADDED FOUR UNCLASSIFIED FELONY CHARGES TO THE CRIMINAL INDICTMENT OF 68–YEAR OLD  ACCUSED RAPIST DENNIS GENTLEMAN.

IN ADDITION TO THREE COUNTS OF SECOND DEGREE SEXUAL ASSAULT, GENTLEMAN NOW FACES FOUR COUNTS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE FIRST DEGREE.

EACH FIRST DEGREE OFFENSE CARRIES A MAXIMUM 99–YEAR JAIL TERM.

ACCORDING TO ALASKA STATE TROOPERS, THEY WERE NOTIFIED OF THE ALLEGED OFFENSES BY ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES OFFICIALS LAST MONTH.

COURT RECORDS SAY THE 21–YEAR OLD ALLEGED VICTIM IS SAID TO SUFFER FROM FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME AND IS (in their words) VERY LOW FUNCTIONING.

RECORDS SAY GENTLEMAN ASSAULTED THE WOMAN FROM JUNE FIRST UNTIL JULY 31ST OF THIS YEAR, AND SOME OF THE ALLEGED INCIDENTS WERE WITNESSED BY GENTLEMAN'S DAUGHTER.
