ABL All-Star game ends in a tie

ANCHORAGE, AK-Yesterday was the Alaska Communications State Farm ABL Home Run Derby and All-Star Game in Mulcahy Stadium down in Anchorage. Gio Brsa from the Mat-Su Miners won the home run derby hitting three homers in his final at bat two take the crown.

The North team was the Panners, Miners and Chinooks. The South team was the Oilers, Bucs and Glacier Pilots. The Goldpanners had 11 All-Stars this year. The first place Miners had the most with 14 selections.

This game turned out to be so evenly match that it ended in a 2-2 tie. Jake Alavarez from the Kenai Peninsual Oilers was named MVP Alvarez had a homer run and single responsible for both South scores.

The Goldpanners come out of the break with three road games starting with the Bucs tonight. They'll be back at Growden on the 25th against the Miners.
