2013 KTVF Summer Broadcast Academy
Have you ever wondered what it takes to produce a news story or commercial? Are you interested in learning the “behind the scenes” operation of a television station? KTVF is offering an exciting summer opportunity for kids ages 12-18 with an interest in learning the ropes of broadcast television and commercial production.
During five days of intensive training from local experts, students will produce their own news segments and finished commercials, which will air on Channel 11!
Brainstorming, script writing, storyboarding, directing, shooting video, composition and lighting, editing and graphics are areas of study.
The broadcast academy will run during June 3-7 M-F 9:30A – 3:30P. Lunch will be provided on the last day. Space is limited, so don’t delay.
Students will learn basic knowledge of the broadcast industry such as directing; interviewing and reporting; editing and shooting video; composition and lighting. They will learn about broadcast television’s two major aspects: news gathering and commercial production and by the end of the week, produce a news story and public service announcement. Students’ news segments will air in a KTVF newscast and commercials will air as rotators throughout the summer months!
$175 before May 17
$195 after May 17
