An Alaska family has lost two family members, including a woman who was severely beaten in Fairbanks and a man who died in a car accident after visitng her at an Anchorage hospital.
According to APD a member of the woman's family, 71-year-old Isaac Juneby, was leaving the woman's hospital Sunday night when he ran a red light at the intersection of O'Malley Road and Lake Otis Parkway.
Juneby, a chief in Eagle Village in the 1970s and from 2002 to 2006, hit another car and was killed instantly.
The woman was taken off life support the day after Juneby died.
Their sister also suffered a heart attack this week from the stress of losing her brother and her sister in the space of two days.
If you'd like to help the family, you can donate to Jody Potts' account at Wells Fargo.
There is also a fundraiser in Fairbanks on this Monday (July 9) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tribal Hall.
